Work life balance is something that’s important to Merisign and really is something that’s at our core. We have always embraced the Bay, what it offers, and it’s conservation. Beyond designing and developing beautiful apps and websites, the team here are all fisherman that spend time out on the water. Like many people around the Greater Chesapeake Bay area and really any body of water, we’re only able to get out every so often with life’s obligations.
About a year ago, PJ and I were throwing around ideas for an internal build. We both knew the sport fishing industry was an area that could benefit from a well-designed and executed app. Fast forward a year later, our app Fishing Insight was just approved for both the Google Play Store and also the Apple App Store. We’re thrilled to make this product the best it can be and continually improving and adding features. At its core, the app aggregates weather data about your catches and then calculates based on current weather data and your past catch history where your best chance of finding fish is. Pretty revolutionary stuff for the fishing industry. We’re excited to see what comes of this one!
